About me

My name is Zuzana Vaňková, I live in Prague and I am a mother of 3 sons (17, 15 and 8 years old). After my husband and I found out at a relatively young age that we were going to be parents for the first time, we became very interested in things about pregnancy and childbirth and how our child would be born. Finally, we arrived at the option of an assisted home birth, which we eventually repeated for our other two sons. The experience of consciously experiencing the natural birth process was a transformative experience for me, which led me to a permanent interest in this topic, and thanks to which I also spontaneously came to the topic of supporting other women during pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood, which I have been doing (for family reasons only as a hobby) for many years. Besides that, in 2010 my friends and I founded the forest club Cestička, one of the first forest "nurseries" in the country, and for the last 10 years I have also been interested in organizing women's and mixed circles and meetings. With a new phase in my life, where childcare is no longer so much tied to me, I am currently pursuing my dreams and trying to translate my long-standing interests and hobbies into a profession. Since 2023 I am a certified lactation consultant (organization MAMILA) and also a mentored doula in the association Ammadula, I have also extended my qualification to massages. Between 2023 and 2024 I completed intensive basic training in craniosacral osteobiodynamics, which has been my love, anchor and resource in life and in my work with people ever since.

During my parental leave I graduated at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and since 2012 I have been doing scientific work in the field of soil and water contamination and remediation. In my work and life I enjoy connecting and drawing from different spheres and worlds, working with facts and logic as well as intuition and empathy. Compassion, humility and respect for the individuality of each person's journey, our competencies, capacities and limits are central to my work with clients.
